CYY-W660 Wireless Large-Screen Steel Liquid Temperature Gauge

The CYY-W660 is a large-screen wireless molten steel temperature meter designed for the steelmaking and steel production industries. This device belongs to the wireless molten steel pyrometer series, combining a handheld transmitter with a large-screen receiver to form a complete, wire-free system for measuring molten steel temperatures.

In steel mills, controlling molten steel temperature is critical to the quality of finished steel. The molten steel temperature must stay within an optimal range to ensure proper fluidity for casting, minimize defects, and guarantee the mechanical properties of the final product.

The CYY-W660 solves liquid steel temperature measurement by enabling operators to take readings directly at the furnace, then wirelessly transmit results to a large display positioned for easy viewing. The 5-inch red LED screen features characters approximately 120-128mm tall, ensuring clear visibility of liquid steel temperatures even in bright, high-heat industrial environments.

No signal cable needed: In steel plants, cabling between the measurement gun and display can be inconvenient due to complex production environments with high-power electrical lines. The CYY-W660 uses wireless data transmission at 470/490 MHz, with a stated range of up to 300m, enabling flexible system deployment without running cables through hazardous areas.

The CYY-W660 measures molten steel temperature in ladle furnaces, refining furnaces, pouring pots, and the pre-pouring area. It provides real-time on-site readings and automatically transmits temperature data to a large display for monitoring by both managers and operators.

The CYY-W660 can also measure molten iron, copper, aluminum, and other molten metals — a versatile solution for foundries that need to monitor multiple types of molten metal.

The device is designed with robust electromagnetic interference (EMI) immunity. According to the technical manual, the CYY-W660 can measure molten steel temperature while the medium-frequency induction furnace is powered on, without requiring a power shutdown.

The CYY-W660 can store more than 1.000 groups of historical temperature data, supports printer selection, and enables computer connectivity. For steel mills, this temperature data can be used to verify measurement results, monitor the steelmaking process, compare temperatures across different batches, and manage worker measurement operations.
